BUILDING BRIDGES ACROSS OUR COMMUNITY LANDSCAPE
Growing Learning at MKES! 🌱
We are thrilled to announce our new School Garden Residency at Mount Kisco Elementary School, beginning this fall and continuing through the spring!
Through this exciting partnership, For the People & Kids will transform the outdoor school garden and indoor science labs into vibrant, hands-on learning environments. Through our bilingual English-Spanish model, students will explore gardening, sustainability, nutrition, environmental stewardship, language, and STEM while connecting classroom learning to the natural world.
In the science labs, students will use Tower Garden® aeroponic systems to explore plant science, healthy eating, and sustainable agriculture while discovering innovative, soil-free ways to grow food in both English and Spanish.
We’re Growing! Announcing Our New Partnership with The Farm at Cabbage Hill
We are absolutely thrilled to announce our new partnership with The Farm at Cabbage Hill! This collaboration brings a brand-new Kids Learning Garden to our community, giving us a beautiful second location to host our signature, nature-led programs.
Nestled right here in Mount Kisco, this gorgeous 280-acre farm is a truly magical space. We can’t wait to welcome our local families and children to explore, learn, and connect with the natural world in such an incredible setting!
GROWING TOGETHER AT D.I.G FARM
In partnership with D.I.G. Farm, we turn the farm into a living classroom where children grow, explore, create, and lead. Young learners take stewardship of their seasonal learning garden while our educators bring their unique talents to the farm, from birding and culinary arts to gardening, aeroponics, mindful movement, music, wellness, and creative arts. Seasonal offerings include homeschool programs, Little Farm Explorers, family wellness, aeroponics, and our popular Last Days of Summer Camp. Through our partnership with the Rewilding School, the farm’s trails come alive as children slow down, observe, and build a deeper connection to nature, themselves, and their community.
MOUNT KISCO ARTS COUNCIL
As President of the Mount Kisco Arts Council, I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of a community that values creativity, connection, and the arts. Together, we’re beginning an exciting new chapter—one that welcomes more voices, encourages new ideas, and brings the arts into the heart of our village through public art, exhibitions, performances, and hands-on workshops.
I invite you to be part of it. Become a member, share your ideas, volunteer, and get involved. Your participation helps us support local artists, build meaningful collaborations, and create more opportunities for our neighbors to experience and enjoy the arts.
Together, we can make Mount Kisco an even more vibrant, creative, and welcoming place, where there is a place for everyone to connect, create, and be inspired.
ACCESS NATURE PROJECT
We’re proud to collaborate with this wonderful organization, which helps bring the benefits and joy of nature to local communities that may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience it. Through inclusive, hands-on experiences, they create meaningful opportunities for individuals—especially those from underserved communities—to explore the natural world, build confidence and wellness, and develop a deeper connection to nature.
Together, we’re expanding access, creating meaningful connections, and reminding our community that nature belongs to everyone.

Engaging After-School Programs for Kids
Our hands-on programs inspire creativity, learning, and fun for children of all ages. We currently serve Mount Kisco Elementary School, Bedford Hills Elementary School, and Pinecrest Manor Community Center.

We’re proud to share the gift of music with residents at the Mount Kisco Fox Senior Center through our uplifting program led by Dr. Michael Garber and Dr. Sue Carpenter, and with the support of Reach Out Arts!
BRINGING THE JOY OF MUSIC TO SENIORS
Each interactive session invites participants to sing along, tap to the rhythm, and connect through the universal language of music. From familiar favorites to creative expression through sound, these gatherings spark joy, evoke cherished memories, and foster community connection.
Because music doesn’t just entertain, it heals, inspires, and brings people together.
