Summer isn’t over yet! As many camps wrap up for the season, For the People and Kids (FTPK) is just getting started. Join us at DIG Farm for Summer Farm Camp: Session 2 at the end of August!

Falling into Autumn season at the Farm at Cabbage Hill

We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with The Farm at Cabbage Hill, where our For the People and Kids Learning Garden is growing!

This fall, children will gather three times a week for hands-on exploration combining gardening, culinary arts, music, and birdwatching! Guided by our dedicated team of educators, each session offers dynamic opportunities to create, build friendships, and connect with nature. To accommodate growing interest, we’ve added a Thursday afternoon session to complement our Monday and Wednesday morning schedule. Register for Fall Kids Learning Garden

Family Saturdays at the Farm at Cabbage Hill, Sept. 12 – Nov., 7, 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM

Every other Saturdays, we will offer two programs simultaneously from 9:30–10:30 AM, giving families with children of different ages the flexibility to choose the experience that works best for them:

Family Garden | Ages 2+
Hands-on gardening and seasonal exploration for young children and their grown-ups.

Junior Birders Club | Ages 7+
Led by Susan, with a focus on bird observation, identification, and nature exploration.

🌾 DIG Farm Fall Homeschool Program

Join our DIG Farm Fall Program (Sept 8–Oct 30) for a consistent, nature-based rhythm. Kids will explore gardening, harvesting, culinary arts, mindfulness, Rewilding, and our new birding program, all across three daily classes (Tues., and Fri., 10 AM–1 PM). Together, we’ll watch the season turn and learn to tuck our garden into bed for winter! Registration is Now Open for ages 2 & up

Growing Minds at MKES

This fall, For the People and Kids, proudly launches our new dual-language School Garden Residency at Mount Kisco Elementary School. Through hands-on experiences in the school garden and science labs featuring Tower Garden® technology, students will explore gardening, sustainability, STEM, nutrition, and environmental stewardship, cultivating curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong connection to nature.

🌱 Field Trips Fridays to the Farm at Cabbage Hill

Bring your class, family, community group, organization, or team to the farm for a hands-on day of learning and discovery! Explore the gardens, meet the animals, dig in the soil, discover where our food comes from, and harvest fresh produce to take home. 🌻

Join us at Historic Hudson Valley’s Philipsburg Manor for Summer Saturdays! 

Harvest season is coming! Discover different food preservation techniques and learn how different groups of the past used drying, canning, and smoking to preserve their food. Pickle radishes, create a fragrant scent sachet, and learn about home composting.

Junior Birders Club

Every other Saturday; 9/12-11/7

9:30AM – 10:30AM

The Junior Birders Club introduces the fundamentals of birding and basic bird science through age-appropriate lessons and activities designed for kids ages 7 and up.

Young learners will build bird identification skills while exploring behavior, habitats, and adaptations. Each session includes a chance to put these skills into practice through hands-on birding and a short, guided hike.
