ART FOR ALL: A Celebration of Inclusion & Creativity
Art for All celebrates creativity, community, and inclusion through artwork created in collaborative community workshops by participants of all ages and abilities. Led by For the People and Kids, Inc. with support from Reach Out Arts, the exhibition features partnerships with Mount Kisco Arts Council, Westchester Community College, and Arc Westchester. Workshops were facilitated by art educator Dr. Sue Carpenter, fostering self-expression in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Note: The Community Room is a shared space—please check with the library for viewing availability.

Baby Love Yoga
Join this gentle, nurturing class for our littlest learners ages 0–1, led by wellness educator Nicole Sidman, founder of Anahata Yoga. Through calming movement, soft music, and mindful bonding activities, caregivers and babies explore early sensory development, relaxation, and connection in a warm, supportive environment.
Perfect for strengthening the parent-baby bond while introducing the foundations of movement and mindfulness.

Teens Introduction to Finance
3/7: Part 1: Budgeting & Saving
Teens learn how to manage money, set financial goals, create a budget, and understand the power of saving early.
4/4: Part 2: Credit, Investing & the Future
We break down credit scores, loans, and interest, then introduce investing concepts like stocks, 401(k)s, and what they actually mean for long-term financial growth.
Led by Joe Roman, Harvard University graduate, teen mentor, and financial consultant, this course empowers teens with confidence, clarity, and smart decision-making around money, before it really counts.

Anime & Manga Teen Club
Calling all anime and manga fans! Join our teaching artist Ava Berman for a fun, welcoming space where teens can connect over their favorite series, explore Japanese storytelling and art styles, and unleash their creativity. Participants will discuss popular anime and manga, learn about character design and world-building, and create their own manga panels or characters through hands-on activities.
This club supports creativity, visual literacy, and community—no prior experience needed, just a love for anime, manga, and imagination!

Be Here Now: Mommy & Me Edition
A joyful, sensory-filled experience designed for little ones and their grown-ups to connect, explore, and be present together. Through engaging sounds, movement, and hands-on activities, children are invited to discover the world around them while caregivers share in the fun.
Led by wellness educator Priscilla Padilla, founder of Living on Vibrant Energy, this playful class encourages bonding, curiosity, and creativity in a warm, welcoming environment—where learning happens naturally through play. Come connect, laugh, and make meaningful memories together!

Teen Tie-Dye workshop
Get ready to twist, dye, and vibe! In this colorful, hands-on workshop led by Katie Sheehan of Hippie Feet Tie Dyes, teens will learn cool tie-dye techniques, play with bold color combos, and unleash their creativity.
Each teen will design a one-of-a-kind piece supplied by Somers Library to dye, style, and take home. Expect bright colors, good energy, and wearable art you’ll actually want to show off

In this interactive workshop, young chefs will mix, measure, and decorate simple recipes while building confidence in the kitchen and exploring creativity through food.

Decomposers at Work
Get ready to dig into the secret jobs happening beneath our feet! In this hands-on library program, kids will discover how decomposers like worms, fungi, and bugs break down old plants and food scraps to help the earth stay healthy.
Through stories, simple experiments, and interactive activities, young learners will explore nature’s recyclers and learn why decomposers are so important to our ecosystem. Perfect for curious kids who love nature, dirt, and discovery!

Sourdough Making Teen Workshop
Get hands-on and learn the art (and science!) of sourdough. In this interactive workshop, teens will mix, stretch, and learn the basics of sourdough baking, plus why fermentation is so good for our bodies.
Led by our Wellness Educator, Danielle Colavito, founder of Soul Shining Wellness, this workshop blends food, wellness, and creativity. Teens will gain practical skills, a deeper connection to real food, and the confidence to try sourdough!
